Home Addition for Expanding Family
An expanding family and a doctor who does shift work at the ER led to this home addition that allowed for a very isolated and insulated master bedroom – a quiet space in which to retreat when rest is required. At the same time, a large family space was required for this musical household who frequently host caleighs on the spur of the moment. The architectural design of the main building was carried into the rooflines of this addition making it hard to determine what was old and what was new. In fact, siding was carried onto the old building to cover up some rough brick work and only a trained eye can determine where the addition really starts.
