Scott Wootton, the founder of Kawartha Lakes Construction, is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, a skilled tradesman and executive member of the Ontario Home Builders’ Association. Also an active member of the Ontario Renovators’ Council, he has specialized in building and renovation projects in the Kawarthas since 1988. Committed to the science of building, his own home recently won an R-2000 Excellence Award for best overall design in Ontario.

Our lead-hand approach to management ensures continuous workflow from start to finish with a consistent work force on each project. A full-time project coordinator helps facilitate this smooth delivery, keeping each client well informed with a running calendar and project schedule.

Financial monitoring ensures there are no surprises in the planning process. Our administrative team provides accurate accounting and ensures cost controls are in place that adhere to a pre-established budget.

Throughout the building process, each client is made fully aware of the project’s relative costs. Often certain aspects of a project involve allowances, such as budget options for electrical or plumbing fixtures. By maintaining a detailed listing and running total of the costs of these selections, Kawartha Lakes Construction remains focused on each client’s overall budget objectives so that cost overruns are minimized.
