Welcome to KLC’s New Home

For years the team at Kawartha Lakes Construction had been wanting to acquire a downtown/storefront presence to be able to engage people in the Design/Build Process.

After purchasing the former “Foodtown” building on the edge of Lakefield, our renovation adventure began.

Close inspection of the premises revealed many deficiencies with heating, insulation and structure, so an extensive demolition was needed and a thorough re-build followed, including totally digging out the existing concrete floor and pouring a new floor complete with in-floor heating system.

The result is a stunning and functional space in the style of local Train Stations. Our team has designed a ‘living brochure’, with each office having its own style including different flooring/millwork/cabinets etc. From the time you enter the front doors into our “Great Room” complete with kitchen, stunning Muskoka granite fireplace and reception area, you will be amazed at how seamlessly this renovation came together.

It’s been said “God is in the Details”, and that certainly shows with every aspect of the new KLC Design/Build Studio. The reclaimed heart-pine flooring offers warmth and function, the built-in cabinets offer a hidden computer desk and the stone accent walls are always a crowd pleaser.

Kawartha Lakes Construction couldn’t be happier with how our vision has become a reality, and Scott & the team are very proud to call Lakefield home.
